Place des Vosges is a quiet square where you can spend time after school, or during lunch break to relax and sunbathe.
Place des Vosges is located between Place de la Bastille; a place where Parisians' students meet to go out at night, and le Marais district.
Also known in the past as the Royal Place, Place des Vosges is easy to recognize for its famous symmetrical thirty-six brick facade townhouses as well as gallery of arcades.
All around the Place des Vosges, there are a plethora of art galleries to be found under the arcades!
In the southwest corner of the place, you will find an entrance on an old private mansion called Hôtel de Sully.
Sully was the minister of finance for the king Henri IV.
If you go through the door that you have on Place des Vosges toward Hotel de Sully you will discover another quiet garden :).
Going through Hôtel de Sully from Place des Vosges is also a shortcut if you want to reach Saint Paul metro station ;).
